In addition to the SBB (CFF) line running along the lake, from Lausanne to the Simplon, many railway lines exist on the Riviera and climb towards the surrounding mountains.
These lines are managed by the Montreux-Vevey-Riviera (MVR) or the Montreux Bernese Oberland (MOB). GoldenPass Services brings these two companies together under a unique logo and assumes the management and operation.
It is worthy to note that all these railway lines and cable cars were built at the end of the 19th century and at the very beginning of the 20th, in a relatively costly time for the means of that period. The vast majority survived until today. The Cable car lines are interconnected to the various railways and the GoldenPass railways departs at the level of the SBB (CFF) railway train stations of Vevey and Montreux.
