Torgon hanging bridge
The Torgon footbridge connects 2 parts of the village of Torgon in the municipality of Vionnaz in Valais. Torgon has a small ski resort which is part of the well-known “Portes du Soleil” ski area.

Characteristics
Built in 2012, the footbridge is 150 metres long and has a maximum height of 28 metres above the AvanΓ§on torrent. It prevents walkers from travelling along a dangerous road and is accessible by road at both ends. The footbridge is on the route of a magnificent path linking Saint-Gingolf in Valais to Chur in GraubΓΌnden in 34 stages and more than 600 kilometres.

From the footbridge, you can observe the Valais Alps that border France. You can easily recognize the Haut Sex, Aiguille de Braite, Linleu, Rochers de Savolène and Braye mountains.
The Haut Sex and Linleu mountains mark the border with France.
