πŸ›· The summer toboggan runs in Switzerland in 2020

❄️ During the winter season, please check the winter sledding in Western Switzerland.

Types of sled runs

Summer sledging is a leisure activity for sliding fans to do in complete safety. This activity can be practiced by adults and children from 7 -8 years old or even in an adult-child duo.

There are two types of summer toboggan runs in Switzerland:

  • Half tube
  • Alpine Coaster

The Vue des Alpes sled Run consists of a half tube in which the sled slides while the other 3 runs have rails around which the sled is trailed. This last type of sled is sometimes called Alpine Coaster. In both types of courses, the race starts at the bottom of the track and is automatically towed to the top of the track. The slopes are only open in summer.

Alpine Coaster toboggan runs make it possible to go much faster than the half tube toboggan run, which is more suitable for children. They have the advantage of being able to take a faster speed. It is not necessary to brake in the corners despite the speed taken by the sled because the sled cannot derail according to the manufacturer.
